Everytime

My good friend Ed Babcock is a great songwriter, and has been writing rock tunes for most of his songwriting career.  He has, however, recently started to get into Jazz, and wrote a great tune that features my favorite female vocalist of all time, Karolyn Jordan.

I’ve played in various bands with both Ed and Karolyn and we cut this recording in the summer 0f 2007.  We recorded the tune in a small home studio, and it’s clear to me that there is no longer a need to go into a large studio to get a decent sounding recording.  I use Logic Pro in my own studio and am having equally great results with just a few good mics, a mixer, and a beefed up Macintosh.  Add the power of blogging to the mix and the MP3 format and it’s no wonder the music industry is fledgling.  Enjoy this tune by my good friend, Ed Babcock.  Piano parts and strings are all me.

  1. Wow. Stunning. Been trying to find this lady for a few years, now. Karolyn is my favorite female singer, too. Haven’t heard her sing in WAY too long. Only got to play one gig backing her up, and it remains one of my all-time favorite gigs.

    Thanks for posting this!
